General Electric and Home Depot Complaint

We purchased a General Electric dishwasher (PDT660SSFSS) from Home Depot (New Minas, Nova Scotia) at the end of April 2015. Two weeks later we received a call from General Electric informing us that the dishwasher was on back order and not available until July 31, 2015. We just received another update from GE telling us that the dishwasher will not be available until August 28, 2015 - and no guarantee that it will arrive then.
This product is still advertised as 'for sale' at Home Depot and there is no product available.
In summary: we paid for the dishwasher over two months ago and have been told that we should not expect to receive it for at least another two months.
